Galtür offers a super weekly programme for your summer holiday in Tyrol, with hiking and mountain biking, for children and teenagers as well as for adults.
You and your family get to know the advantages of Galtür in summer particularly well with the free weekly programme from the Tourist Association. Hiking and climbing are equally on the agenda as well as mountain biking and special offers for children and youngsters. Further information with details, meeting points and starting times can be obtained from the Tourist Association team or from the Tourist Office in Galtür.
Certified guides and carers support the activities in Galtür with their extensive experience. Safety is the first priority followed closely by fun. Don’t miss the best offers for your summer holiday. If you have a Silvretta Card, you only need to pay for food and any admission fees.
There is a weekly youth programme for teenagers on their summer holiday in Galtür without consoles, mobile phones and computers. Action, adventure and sport in nature.
Galtür’s weekly programme for youths makes it easier for you to motivate even the most reluctant offspring for these summer activities. The motto is: No parents allowed! The Silvretta group, and the comprehensive range of sports on offer in Paznaun, ensure varied leisure activities on a summer holiday in Austria. You children experience the following activities, looked after by trained carers:
Climbing
The teens learn the “basic skills” covering climbing techniques, using ropes and securing co-climbers on the natural stone wall in Galtür. Level of difficulty: 37
Bike day
After a short bike training session in Ischgl, they take off by cable car to the Silvretta Bike Arena, the largest biker’s paradise in Austria. Adventure trails and great downhill stretches await them there. Chill & Grill is on the programme at midday; afterwards the teens ride on with bike guide for further tours.
Didgeridoo Music work shop & session
Australian atmosphere is guaranteed at the didgeridoo work shop; they build the instruments themselves. No “didge” session is complete without a camp fire on the mountain.
Rafting
White water, gorges, whirlpools and white water swimming are on the agenda. Trained rafting guides lead the teenagers though Tyrol’s unique water landscape. Life jackets, helmets and wetsuits make sure that safety is not neglected.
Night barbeque and chill out
A night barbeque is the highlight for the teenagers, taking place every two weeks at a secret location. Here as well: No parents allowed!
Changes to the programme (due to the weather) may be made at short notice. Participation is at your own risk. Costs arise for the use of the cable cars, transfer (Silvretta Card advantageous) and refreshments. Organiser and further information: Tourism Association Paznaun-Ischgl.
Your kids certainly won’t be bored in Galtür. Of course, your children can also take part in the weekly programmes for hiking and mountain biking, provided that they can manage the respective tour.
