When in the early morning the first sunbeams flash across the mountain peaks and the summits on the opposite side of the valley already sparkle in the morning sun, when the ringing of the cowbells can be heard from afar and the morning dew glistens on the alpine meadows, then you have made a conscious decision for a summer holiday with your family in Galtür. Lazing around on the beach in the sun would not be for your children, because they want to experience fun and some action on their holidays. Galtür and the Paznaun Valley have plenty to offer in this regard, your children can be sure never to experience a dull moment when on summer holidays in Hotel Zontaja. Here in the mountains, your children have one thing above all: plenty of space and incredibly much to discover. All around Galtür there are alpine meadows and streams, hidden trails and small forests beckoning children to come and play. Furthermore, there are plenty of other options on offer for families here in Paznaun. For those moments when the weather does not play along as desired, there is our new and giant children's playroom, where in addition to all kinds of games there is also a climbing wall and table football awaiting the children. A visit to the Alpinarium should also be part of every summer holiday, because the museum experience and indoor climbing wall are sure to delight at any time of year.
For all children up to 10 years, the Kids Club Paznaun puts on an exciting and varied programme. Here the children can have fun and adventure with peers of the same age, of course under professional supervision. While the lovely little ones spend an exciting day in Paznaun Valley time and again. In the meantime, the parents get the chance to become active themselves and to hike through the mountains on their summer holidays.
A summer holiday with the whole family may not be considered all that cool anymore for children from a certain age. But in Galtür there is an easy way around this with the Youth Club Paznaun, which has put together an action-packed programme for 11 to 16-year-old children. It kicks off with climbing on Austria's highest natural stone climbing wall, while the next day they jump on the mountain bikes to rock the trails of Paznaun. A bit of riding technique is also practised. Another time it’s off fishing with the catch then being thrown on the barbecue. Rafting and canyoning, as well as hiking through a white-water canyon are also on offer. Those who have never tried bouldering can try their hand at this in the Youth Club, and there is even a GPS treasure hunt in the SIlvapark on the programme. But surely best of all is that the club is a parent-free zone.
