A great holiday requires more than just fine weather, a diverse leisure program and a beautiful setting. For this reason, we in Hotel Zontaja have put enjoyment and gastronomy at the top of our list. Did you know, for example, that the junior chef of our hotel is a member of Cook-art, the club for Paznaun chefs? This association of the best regional chefs aims to make guests more familiar with the Genussregion Paznaun and the delicacies grown and cultivated here. The results of this initiative can be experienced first-hand every day at dinner in our restaurant!
In the kitchen, we clearly focus on regional produce. The Paznaun Valley provides us with many premium products from nature, which are turned into true delicacies in our kitchen. The highest quality of the primary products is important to us, that's why if possible we use products from the immediate vicinity and from organic farming. But what would a great meal be without suitable accompanying wine? Probably only half the fun, and that's why we're happy to treat you to the best from our wine cellar. Taste your way through the wide range of top wines from Austria, served by our sommelier in the wine tavern. Should you prefer to end the day with a schnapps instead, we offer numerous specialities by award-winning local distillers. At any rate, this is a wonderful way to philosophise about the day coming to an end and the mind will inevitably wander.
Possibly the best cheese from Austria comes from Paznaun Valley. That's what you’d think, keeping in mind the awards and distinctions of this cheese. Here in Hotel Zontaja, you can satisfy yourself of this. Thirteen cheese producers from Paznaun are members of the Genussregion Paznauner Alp Cheese and guarantee the extraordinary quality of this cheese. In order to meet these requirements, the cows are fed only fresh grass and hay from the Paznaun alpine meadows. Silage and any additives are frowned upon when it comes to Paznauner Alp Cheese. The results of these efforts is a true delicacy, and we are proud to use this luxury food here in the Zontaja.
In Hotel Zontaja all guests get to enjoy our ¾ pamper board. What can you expect from this? The day begins with a generous breakfast from our ample breakfast buffet with a muesli corner. In the afternoon from 3 to 5, a refreshment with various snacks such as a cake buffet with home-made cake awaits you. For dinner from 06:30pm to 20:30pm in winter (06:30 to 08:00pm in summer), you can choose from several main dishes. In addition there is also a daily salad bar and a cheese buffet with selected cheese specialities from the Genussregion Paznauner Alpine Cheese.
As a special highlight for our guests, the following beverages are available with dinner (18:30-20:30) at no cost: Beer, table wine, apple juice, lemonade, coke, raspberry cordial and Galtür mountain spring water sparkling/still.
