The access point to the cross-country ski tracks of Galtür is located directly behind Hotel Zontaja, allowing you to start skiing right away. If you want, you can even ski all the way to Ischgl in Paznaun Valley and then take the free public bus from there to get back to Galtür.

One cross-country ski track leads to the Kops- reservoir and the other even all the way to the 2,040 meter high Bielerhöhe, where you can ski all around the Silvretta reservoir. For all cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there is even a floodlit 3-kilometre long night-time cross-country ski track, where you can ski under floodlights until 22:00.
Galtür Nordic Volumes
Once a year, Galtür transforms into the Austrian Mecca of cross-country skiing. And in 2022 with a new format: Welcome to the first Galtür Nordic Volumes.
The cross-country series "Galtür Nordic Volumes" consists of the well-known Galtür Nordic Night Race and, new from 2022, the Cross-Country Climb to the Silvretta Bielerhöhe, which will also be part of the 2022 Austrian Long Distance Championship for the first time. In addition, new from 2022 is the XC Team Relay and the cross-country race for students.
